Kitty 11" x 14"

One of the gals I used to work with asked me if I would paint her cat and of course, being the cat fan I am, I did. We used to talk about our cats all the time so it was nice to finally see what she looks like! I was happy to paint Kitty.

I LOVE this one!!!
I've toyed with painting a cat because my friend is a cat nut. I wanted to paint one and give it to her...
Now I think you've inspired me to try.
Such a great angle, too!

Thanks Marian! You should definitely give it a shot; I think you would do a great job. I have been painting a lot of animals this summer, plein air and from photos, and I must admit, I've really enjoyed it.

Hmmmm...it looks like she has something on her mind, but you never know with cats. Maybe I'll paint my cat, Cooper. I have a great shot of him by the window. Thanks for the inspiration.

Thanks Deb, I don't know this cat personally but I would venture to guess that what's on her mind is, "feed me!" Cooper would probably love to have a portrait done. I'm now planning on painting Marshy, my own cat. Hope to be posting it soon! Thanks for checking in.

I love this one, the cat is great and there's something about those lovely green tiles... they have a great pattern! (I'm a sucker for pattern and green.)

Just to let you know, I'll be posting my award widget hopefully this weekend and choosing my fave blogs. I feel terrible that I have not done it yet, but I'm a bit challenged with those widgets!

Please don't feel terrible about that! I will admit, it took me some time to figure it all out myself. I think the best thing about those awards is that they usually introduce me to blogs I would not have otherwise seen. P.S., I love the socks you are knitting!

How very lucky of your friend to have a great artist friend like you. I love the kitty painting. But I really, really like the guitars. That is awesome. Just an everyday moment in your lives that hold special significance. I wish I were better about finding those in photograph. Thanks to you I'll be looking.

She's be-u-tiful! You did a good job - it's a true cat-portrait.

I am way remiss in painting my cats. Nice one.
