Late Summer at Sea View 18"x24"

"Sea View" is one of those dollhouse-like cottages that I often wonder if average size people can fit inside. Apparently they do, because in this colony of cottages at Chase's Ocean Grove in Dennisport, MA on Cape Cod, we met a few tenants and the interior spaces were wonderful. This location felt like it could bring on instant relaxation even though it was after Labor Day and most of the visitors had travelled home.

Thanks Sandy! The cottages are all very diverse in styles and colors, but many are the New England weathered shingle look with colorful trim. Thanks for stopping by!

I would love to see those in person.

You did great with this. I still haven't finished Al-Fred, But it has deafeated others and will not defeat me!

It certainly won't defeat you! I liked your painting of Al-Fred. Looking forward to seeing the finished version!

Well done - makes me want to sit on the porch!

Thanks, but I was concerned about the proportion of the porch which looks like an adult would not be able to stand up on it...I drove by this place again today while on the Cape and in real life it really looks this way...I'm not sure what the actual height clearance is!

I came across your painting of the cottage at Chase's Ocean Grove and I wanted to let you know that I also painted that cottage, minus the porch. Here is a link to my blog, which I think will bring you to the page where my painting is posted. I am glad you thought the cottage was a worthy subject as well.
