My son, the filmmaker on the set of one of his films. I must admit, this is from a small photograph of him from a web site, but I really liked the image...I think it's ok because I know the subject...I don't know who to credit the original photo to, but I will as soon as I find out.
12/6/08-So, I learned that the photographer is Patty Allen. Thanks Patty for taking such a great photo and letting me paint from this! For me, it really summed up what I saw from his filmmaking activity!

This is great - I love the monochromatic quality to it.
What a great subject to paint..Love the whole composition of this!
This is great and so edgy and mysterious!
I'll have to come back and go to your older posts when I have time...but I loved everything I saw on this page while looking at it tonight! Your colors are wonderful!
Thanks Ladies,I guess the equipment pictured is a sound boom and a camera of sorts...I'll have to ask him. It was great watching the crew work on one of the shoots. Another whole art form.
Thisis wonderful... a treasure! :)
Thanks Margaret Ann for stopping by my blog; I had an opportunity to visit yours yesterday and I love your work!
I agree... this is an amazing painting... very cool
beautifully cropped and love the tonal-ness.
Paula, this one really is especially wonderful. It is my screensaver for a second day now. Odd Chick is right, it's so edgy and mysterious, I just stare at it to try and figure out how you got that feeling. It's fantastic.
Wow, Camille! I'm really honored! I really liked the subject matter and I guess that made the difference.
Great painting. I love how you kept it simple. I think it is a powerful piece because you left out the unnecessary details. Myabe having a small photo was a good thing. Very nice. Thanks for dropping by my blog and for the kind comment.
Thanks for stopping by Peggi!
