A couple of weeks ago I visited Kelley MacDonald at her cool studio and she set up a still life of pottery from a painting trip to Mexico for us to paint from a couple of years ago. I am still working on this...but I just didn't want to wait another day to post an image, so here it is!

Paula, I'm so glad you stopped by because I realized I didn't have you on my blogroll - yeow! you are now! the still life is wonderful - I really like the colors....
Wow... nice Paula! I love all those interesting objects. such a colorful painting. I like how you posted sort of a in progress shot. hugs!
I love everything about this Paula! The composition and the colors are fantastic. Great work! I'm jealous that you and Kelley got to spend some time painting together...lol!
Thanks ladies! I can't remember the last time I painted a still life so this one is feeling a bit awkward, but I liked painting it and I already have some ideas about a few others...we'll see! (and Manon...if you're ever on the east coast in the Massachusetts area...it would be great to paint with you...I'm sure Kelley would concur!)
Great job Paula, The colors are great, very interesting, and I love the way you cropped it! It took guts to crop half the flowers out. Congratulations!
Lovely colourful still life
The colors in your painting are amazing! I really like your work and I am so thrilled to have found your blog. Beautiful work!
ooo oooo ooo I love it! Once again the colors are POW! I can never get such pure colors! Great job!

Very nice Paula, love your composition and the colors are wonderful.
Hi Paula..
Love this one!! What fun to paint on a still life with friends!!! Guess you're also working with a photo by now...
This is very lively!!
Welcome Leslie and thanks for your comments! I really enjoyed viewing your blog as well...that's what I like about blogging, we get to see the artwork of SO many people...it's great.
Thanks Katie, Odd Chick, Rhonda, and Marian...always great to hear from you! (And yes Marian...I am working from a photo at this point...that's when it can get really tricky...)
Wonderful work Paula! I always like your use of color!
Hello Paula Villanova, for a long time do not have access to your blog, and I very much enjoy your painting paintings, color is carried, I wish you Happiness!
This is gorgeous! The colors and comp ...I have a chair like that too..
Michelle, thank you for your comment, and also for "following" my blog again. This week I lost 6 followers in one day leading me to believe there may have been a Blogger problem, especially since they are folks that comment. Nice to hear from you.
Zhao! Glad to hear from you, your work is beautiful, I enjoy checking on your tilework in your blog.
Hi Sandy, yeah...that chair...that is part of what's still in progress, but I'll get it right! Thanks for visiting!
Paula, I'm so glad to see another of your paintings,it seems like a long time since you posted one. As usual, your colors are genius! And I'm jealous that you and Kelley got to paint together- wish I'd been there, too.
thanks Deb...and if you're in the area...would love to paint with you!
What happened - I thought I commented on this!?!? I love how you put the chair in, too.... I'm thinking mine is like a vacuum. I love this Paula, once again, bravo!
Nah...yours isn't in a vacuum...it's a still life...and I guess they are all kind of in a vacuum...the problem with mine was, it was in a poorly composed vacuum that was screaming out for another object, so I entered a less than masterfully rendered chair...it really is still in progress...along with a few other ones...heck, I just finished my "Eat at Joe's" painting from 2 years ago! (but who's counting...) (!)
