Louie the Lobster

Louie was the result of a day of diving for some friends of my daughter...the result was some very good lobster and scallops. So good! Anyway, as Louie was languishing, I thought he should be painted.

Louie makes me hungry! He's not to orange, so I'm guessing he hadn't hit the pot yet? Fun, Paula.

Louie's colors are just electric.

Hi, Paula! I haven't visited your blog for awhile so I was pleased to see your new paintings. What I love about your work is the instinctive response you seem to have for color. I would describe your paintings as being bold, and juicy--not a bad thing even when the subject is a lobster! (I hope that poor creature made a good dinner...lol.)
