I could live in San Miguel de Allende and paint forever and not complete all the images I want to capture. Everywhere I looked I saw at least one painting. This is a detail of the view of the backside of some of the architectural details of the Oratorio. This town is so stunningly beautiful, it always overwhelms me.

This came out really well. I like the way you cropped the towers, and that you didn't feel you had to include all three lovely churches.
Thanks Kelley, it was so difficult painting on such small canvas. I think this was a 9x12 and I am so used to 16x20 or larger. It was good to try the smaller size though...
Yo quiero viajar en San Miguel de Allende!
Esta vista es maravillosa y interesante!
Gracias seniorita!
SO MANY painting ideas, so little time.
I love it. You also have a way with architecture. I love it. I want to go there sometime with you all.
Please do Mary...you'd do AMAZING work there!
I think Mary in SM would be tons of fun! And Paula, I think getting outside your comfort zone in terms of size really worked for you! I'm so proud of you that you actually go back and finish these pieces. I still have unfinished paintings from the 2004 visit!
Oh Girlfriends, thanks so much for giving that idea a go. In the meantime can we take a jeep trip down the Cape?
What size is this?
Just say when Mary!
In for the jeep trip! :)
YAY Jeep trip. I think we should go soon. Love the amigas!
I'll be in touch! Welcome back!!!!
I'll be in touch! Welcome back!!!!
Paula, thank you very much for your commentary on my blog. "Hard to say if the people on the ride are enjoying a feeling of freedom or if they are feeling "on the edge" of danger."
That's perfect! That's exactly how I fell!
