Sunny Afternoon in P-Town 24"x18"

Visited Provincetown on Sunday for what was probably one last time this summer. Another quickie painting but fun to do. I think it is obvious that I added the 3 larger figures later in the studio. The guy sitting in front of the shop was sketched in quickly while I was at the actual location and I like the way he looks the best. Next time, I will try to put all the people in using gesture type sketches while I'm on site...I think that will be a vast improvement. Looking forward to that.

Thanks Mary! This was one of those paintings that I just really wanted to do as an excercise, and of course, what a great place to paint plein air!

I like it - it's so colorful (just like Ptown) and your eye fairly dances through the painting!
