Looking down from Garita 11"x14"

When I went to San Miguel de Allende, we stayed at Casa Schuck a couple of times which is at the bottom of Garita which is pretty steep. The last time we went, we booked too late and had to stay at Casa Cordelli whichi is owned by the same folks but is WAYYY up the hill. It was really nice but I love the locale of Casa Schuck...especially when dragging painting stuff along, but I guess that all depends on where you're painting.

This is so perfect!!

I LOVE your version of this scene.. It makes the magic colors of this city even more beautiful!!

I have been working on a scene from a bit further up the hill but after seeing Frank Gardner's version and NOW YOURS, I may have to give it up.

THIS IS GORGEOUS, Paula!!!!!!!!

Thanks Michelle, Verne, and Manon...the city itself is not only full of color itself, the colors change depending on what time of day it is! When Kelley and I ate dinner on a rooftop in the center of town, the painted exterior walls around us changed with the setting sun...and the mountain vistas...I only hope I can get back there next winter! Thanks for visiting!

WOW, this feels like I'm standing on the highest level around, and the view is beautiful. As always, I love your palette.

Hi, I love the colors and the point of view of this one. Being up hill on this trip seems to have had a great benefit, you were able to paint this scene and your paint supplies were already up the hill with you.

Have a nice evening, Liz

I am a huge "San Miguel" fan!
...a magical place and I cannot wait to return..often.
We did a walk through Casa Schuck, and it was lovely.

We stayed around the corner at Casa Quetzal (the Pheonix)

The owner is a painter from Texas.

I have photos but have not even begun to think about how I might transfer those images to paint.

Well done!
