Jack

This is my painting of Jack, the late pet of fellow blogger Karin Jurick who painted Jack and posted his picture on her blog. http://karinjurick.blogspot.com/ Another blogger also painted Jack and sent it to her with a note to expect more from other painters! Thus, an idea for a new blog was born, and she started "Different Strokes from Different Folks" with a call for entries for anyone who wished to offer their own interpretation of her photo. She has a plan to post a new photo weekly for those who wish to participate. I know I want to be a regular part of this wonderfully creative idea and community. Please check out this special blog: http://differentstrokesfromdifferentfolks.blogspot.com/ Thanks Karin for this truly wonderful effort!

Oh Paula, this is awesome. You can tell it's Jack but adding the pink striped chair is really special!
I love it.
When can we take the jeep trip?

I think a jeep trip is in the very near future...will be in touch! Thanks for checking in!

Paula, your work is just wonderful. I also painted Jack and ran a marathon a couple of years ago. I started running regularly about 5 years ago and now I couldn't live without it! I'll check out your running blog.

Thank you Camille! I really loved your interpretation of Jack as well. I loved the creativity and joyfulness conveyed through your use of color and design. Good luck with your running. I am making every effort to make this a life long pursuit...and it isn't easy! (but worth it!)

Paula,

How thoughtful of you to painting Karin Jurick's Jack! I like your free interpretation of the subject matter.

I've passed along "Brilliante Weblog" award to you, you can read more about it on my site. Enjoy.

I just love how blogging unites people. Another artist/runner. Technology rocks.

Yeah...I remember getting our first computer in the early 90's and I gave it a wide berth each time I walked by it...times have changed!
