Fishy Wishy

My daughter asked me if I would paint a propeller for her rowing club's fundraiser. I said, "What the heck...why not..?" and so I did. I struggled with getting the time to do this, trying to come up with an image, and then, executing the image. Well, aren't I almost all done when I ask my husband if we had any spray varnish at home and he thought we did. So he brings the spray stuff up. Something doesn't look right but I figure, I'll try it anyway. I start spraying and, wait a minute, THAT'S not clear! That's white! I had to repaint it.

Paula, love this. We (my husband, sixteen year old daughter, and I) watched "Finding Nemo" tonight. Family movie night is a blessing when you can agree on a show. We laughed at the movie and then your picture could have been a part of that movie. Is that OK? It's probably not what you expected, but your fish is so pretty! I get excited when I see your work!

Thanks Liza and Carol! And Liza, I LOVE that you think my fish could be part of Finding Nemo...a fantastic movie! If my art evokes a response...I'm thrilled! (I found out it sold!)
