Castle Island Afternoon 12"x12" on panel

Castle Island (seems more like a peninsula) juts out into Greater Boston Harbor with commanding waterside views of Boston and the boats and ships coming and going. Also of Logan Airport and its inbound and outbound flights, some of which feel as though they will land on your head! For me though, the beauty is in the immediate environs of people of all nationalities, cultures, neighborhoods, etc., happily walking and picnicing, grabbing a great hamburger (I think it's less than $5) from Sullivan's and just relaxing. I go there often on my lunch break from work. I chose this painting for this month's "Girls Just Wanna Paint" post "Paint a Quote."
My quote is:
"Blessed are they who see beautiful things in humble places where other people see nothing." -Camille Pissarro

I LOVE YOUR WORK!
No, really, I do and I swore I'd left a comment on this but I think it was on GJWP blog.

This is a bold and beautiful testament to the beauty in the ordinary.
